What happens when we “fall” in love? Do we lose a sense of ourselves? Do we become one with the other person? Have we created a third energy of us or is it a natural symbiosis? Well, the truth is, we don’t really lose the sense of our self but gain instead a recognition of the other as our self.

Sorry what? Okay so let us go through that in short steps if you may.

We have all heard of spiritual ideals and oneness. But how does this happen in normal day day life? Is this only available to a small self realised elite of the saint world? Or can any Joe blog also participate in the programme of oneness?

The problem lays in the way it has all been taught before and how we have interpreted it. Now in the age of information, it is how we use the knowledge freely available and that again depends on the lens, on us, our preconceptions if any, and what we hope to realise after any elucidation. Oneness as a concept is too far off for the common mind; oneness as a conception however is something we can work with.

We don’t in effect become one with each other and more tolerant and accepting of less than behaviours or toxic relationships. We merely realise that oneness within us through a process of conception. As we unravel our resistance, we find full presence in the now,  and in that we realise the oneness within us. That feeling of we are one, what’s out there is right inside me right now, happens within. You don’t lose your sense of self but you lose the notion of your sense of self, and you gain the realisation that the whole of infinity is contained within you.

It is at this point that you can actively participate as a co creator in your life.

You gain a whole sense of self disentangling from the deception created by not being your whole self. If you are not being yourself and operate under a garb, surely your life is a lie, right? But you think as you are living true to your ideals that are based on the incorrect version of you, you are being truthful, living the truth of you. Well, not really.

How we get to the Truth comes when we lift the veil of illusion and ignorance. Not by jointing a cult or community because that will only create an ego or sense of separation or sense of entitlement for that group against “the other”. There is “no other”. This is an idea borne of separation and it is “the other” inside of us that we need to heal (return to whole).

So, if you may, it is the evil inside of us that we must recognise. The first evil being that of deception. This comes from living under a false sense of self. The false sense comes to life when we cannot be our truth. Why can’t we be out truth? Either we don’t know, or had to be that way because of our nurturing as infants children and adolescents. Perhaps the way we recoiled into our shells and then represented ourselves in life was done under the fear of extinction and the need to survive?

True, we are born with the survival instincts, but as we evolve, and realise we are more than the physical material body, we realise that actually we are not here to survive but to realise we are one. We can still be identified as individual and still carry the spirit of oneness.

When we operate from a need to survive, we create lack, we create competition, we create “the other”, and we divide to conquer. We are now in the age of Aquarius. That will evolve from mere notion of survival to revival of spirit.

We don’t go merging in the sea of life but that sea is contained within us.

We know it. We live it. We are it.
